Why voluntary social work?
Volunteer workers don’t do charity work solely for themselves. Of course, it’s rewarding to learn something new and meet new people. But the main reason most people volunteer is to help others. Through volunteering, you can bring joy to someone else while gaining work experience in a specific field or expertise. Another advantage is the opportunity provided by Dynamo Amsterdam to attend free training sessions and courses if needed. You can find more information about the training and course options here.

2. Gaining work experience
Voluntary work is a great way to gain work experience, especially if you don’t have enough experience for a regular job in that field. If you have a few hours per week available and you want to fill them with something that can benefit your career, volunteering is an excellent option.

4. Certificate
Every volunteer receives a certificate when they stop volunteering. This certificate states exactly what you have done at Dynamo and for how long you have done it. You can show this certificate to employers or other organizations that are looking for volunteers. It serves as proof of your experience and dedication as a volunteer.
5. Volunteer council
In the volunteer council, volunteers have the opportunity to outspeak their opinions on matters such as Dynamo’s policies, the position of volunteers, and daily operations.
